How do I run an alternate operating system on my laptop?
I have an acer aspire one 10.1" laptop with Windows 7 (professional). I was wondering if there is any way to run Mac OSX on my computer using a flash drive as a CD since i have no CD drive don't want to buy one. Step-by-step instructions would be awesome. Thanks!
It is possible to run it from as ISO on your pen drive however may i suggest you instead use a virtual machine to what you want to.
If you download VMware to your computer then go onto their website and download which ever version of the mac os you like you can run the OS in full screen mode and you wont even realise its runnning ontop of windows. This does mean a little extra hassle on startup however it will be faster running and is alot less hassle to setup.
Vmware is free and most OS images you want to use are free from their site or can be downloaded from elsewhere.
I may have got the wrong end of the stick with what you want to do if you want to have them both on your hard drive. You need to partition your HD so you have to 2 drives. Then download the iso and install it onto the new partition.
