Am i able to upgrade my RAM on my HPdv9500 Notebook PC from 2GB to 4GB?
as the title suggests, ive had this laptop for some time now, and i was thinking i needed to upgrade it, especially now SP1 allows 4GB, so i was wondering if i could upgrade it, and if so, would anyone kindly tell me what kind to RAM to buy and i will get my University Computer Technician to install it for me
yes, first you need to find out the type (eg. so-dimm) and the max. specs (eg. pcxxxx) use the memory advisor here:

you can swap the memory yourself, switch off the laptop, remove the battery and power cable, then there is little cover with two screws, remove it, now you'll be able to see the ram, carefully slide to side to unlock then lift by the side and remove, search the internet for more info.
