Where can I buy 1.2GB memory board for Gateway M520 Notebook?
My exact Notebook model is M520CS+. I only have one memory slot so I need to make the most of the one slot. I find 1GB boards but I can't locate a 1.2GB board although the Gateway specifications say that I can upgrade to a maximum of 1280MB.
If Gateway specify a max. of 1280MB, i think your notebook will have 2 slots rather than one. Becoz memory ram comes in 32,64,128, 256, 512 and 1024MB selections. You need a combination of two to get 1280MB ram. There's no such ram for 1280MB individually becoz the calculation is based on "2 to the power of n" in mathematical terms. ( e.g 2x2x2x2x2x2x2 = 2 to the power of 7 = 128)
