good laptop for 3d modeling, animation, photoshop, etc.?
i'd like to get a laptop for some labor intensive work that can handle multiple programs at the same time and run programs like maya, modo, photoshop, etc. smoothly. i found one potential purchase (the link is at the bottom), but i'm wondering i'd like to see if anyone else can recommend a better candidate. I'm willing to go as high as 1500 dollars for the laptop, but is this 900 asus as good as anything else in my price range?

No. You need a workstation class laptop for 3D and animation.
You want the NVIDIA Quadro series graphics card that are specifically made for 2D, 3D, CAD, and animation.
