Dell XPS M1530 or M1330?
I'm stuck. I'm buying a new laptop, and I'm trying to decide which to buy out of the two mentioned in the above question.
The thing is, I can get the m1330 with 128mb 8400 graphics card, 320mb harddrive, 4g ram and 13.3 inch screen for £749. But then I can get the m1530 with exactly the same tech specs apart from a 256mb 8600 graph card and 15.4 inch screen for the same price.
So, I'd like to use the laptop for gaming, but I'd also like to be able to take it around easily and prefer for it to not be so big. The size of the m1330 really really tempts me, but I'm not sure if it's worth missing out on the great graph card.
So, would you choose the smaller size but lower graph card, or the larger size but bigger graph card? Oh yeah, I won't be watching high def movies on it.
Well it depends. If gaming is really important for you, then OF COURSE you should buy the one with bigger screen and better graphics card. But you should consider that a smaller screen and a lower level card means less energy consumption, which also means longer battery life. Oh, and it should be smaller and lighter too.
Me? I personally have a powerful desktop computer for gaming and a nice small laptop with long battery life for my mobile needs. Just make sure it has a full-size keyboard.
