Should I get the new unibody white macbook?
I have been a windows user my entire life. There were frustrations at times, but the recent windows 7 upgrade has been complain-free for me. However, seeing everybody using macs around me does get me interested in those sleek machines, and I heard the system is a lot better and easier to use than windows. I don't mean to convert to a mac user, but I just want to have a mac under my sleeve. My huge debate right now is this. The new unibody polycarbonate white macbook is selling for $850 right now, and the deal ends today. But I already have two laptops (PC) by my side right now, so there certainly isn't any need for a third one. However, consider I will get a mac eventually and this gorgeous model is on sale, I might as well buy it now. So should I buy or not?
LOL! You heard wrong! Mac has NEVER been a contender in the computer market. The ONLY thing they have going for them right now is the unknowing kids who buy that crap after they see the misleading adds. The measure of a computers power has ALWAYS been what it could run. Apple has always had proprietary systems that wouldnt run anyone elses software. Their near bankruptcy a couple years ago woke them up and they decided its time for intel chipsets. Now the claim is a Mac can do anything a PC can do and even run windows. What they DONT tell you? They still dont run 3rd party windows based software well if they can run it at all. They dont have the resources. You cant upgrade them like you can a PC. They are twice as expensive and half as powerful as a comparable PC. Do you want pretty or do you want computational power?
EDIT: LOL! I get a kick out of the peep who buy them and browse the net and check their email. All of a sudden they are computer pros! Spend 1500 bucks on a mac to do that when you can buy a 300 dollar netbook.
