What are the advantages of an Intel Atom processor over an Intel Celeron processor?
I'm getting a laptop and I can have either processor but I would like to know the advantages of each processor and which is better. I intend to run it off the battery alot as opposed to via the plug and I also intend to play games on it.
Atom is smaller and lower voltage but not very Fast is is designed for mobile phones/netbooks/pda etc
Intel Celeron is bigger faster than the atom uses more power. Compared to a Core 2 duo/i7 its slow
You are not going to get very good game performance out of any them.
You will get better battery life with an atom at the cost of speed.
