My bf just bought one like this (cheaper model)
That processor is good, 160 hard drive is good, Nice Ram for price!! 15.4 still portable but big enough for comfort!! Wide screen is great for video and design editing!!!
Downfall with ANY HP is overheating!! HP runs like crap if you run for hours at a time with out a cool-off (shut down) time!! May want to consider a cool lap pad. It plugs into the usb port and blows cool air on laptop to keep laptop (& your legs) cool!!
AND YOU WANT VISTA IT'S GREAT!!! Takes A little while to get used of the change from XP... but once you do it's the best!!!!!
