Which laptop is better value for money?
I want a laptop at xmas. I have been looking around and for what I want (3D design, game playing and video rendering) I have found these 2 I am thinking of:

Which is better for the purpose and is better value for money? Would it be best to get a branded one?
Please explain why also?
Here are the downsides.
The Sonys i7 is actually a dual core, so performance will suffer.
The Acer has nice specs, but they aren't known for quality, so I would avoid them.
The unbranded one also has wonderful specs, but as you know with unbranded things, you cannot receive support.
IMO if you can hold off until CES (consumer electronics show), which is on the 5th of January, there will be the next generation I series processors out, which will perform better.
