How much about is bluray disc now about? Do every laptop bluray's drive can burn bluray disc? Do every bluray driver can read old disc like cd and dvd well?

Brand new Blu-ray players range from $320 to $1000; therefore, they are still fairly expensive. If wait just a bit longer, you will begin to notice drops in pricing due to competition. There are technical specifications (read speed, brand name, etc.) that contribute to the wide price range.
Not every blu-ray drive can burn blu-ray disc. A blu-ray writer will be able to play and record to blu-ray media. So make sure to look out for this! A blu-ray player can just play blu-ray media.
And blu-ray players are backwards compatible with CD's and DVD's. However, most Blu-ray players are not compatible with with HD-DVD media. HD-DVD media was a rival format to the Blu-ray format. HD-DVD was Toshiba's initiative and they bowed out of the optical high definition race the beginning of this year. Therefore, the blu-ray player needs to explicitly be a "combo" format player that can read both HD-DVD and Blu-ray formats.
