Connect a notebook screen ribbon cable to a pc via vga adaptor or other means?
I've got a notebook with a dead motherboard/graphics and want to salvage its beautiful lcd screen. Do there exist ribbon cable-to-vga converters, or is there some other way to turn the screen into an external monitor?
unfortunately you'll need a controller (your video card won't do it) and they can be quite costly. You cannot just send a VGA signal to a raw LCD.
