What is a wireless notebook card?
I have DSL and my router works for my laptop in my room and a little bit surrounding, but when I leave a certain area I lose connection. I was wondering if those plug in wireless network cards made for notebooks would let be able to use my internet anywhere in my house or deck? Is it that easy? like the ones you get from Best Buy?
Spock provided a good, detailed answer to your question. If you are not very familiar with computers or networks, you actually can find people at BestBuy, CompUSA, etc. that can help you. The two key components are the wireless router and wireless card (or capability) for your computer.
Be aware that when you install your wireless router it will be available to anyone within range that has a compatible wireless network card. It will include instructions on how to secure the network and I encourage you to do that.
