can i put a centrino duo processor into a core 2 duo motherboard?
i have 2 broken laptops, and i believe one can be saved with a new processor. Can i put my older centrino duo processor into the newer core 2 duo slot to test my theory?

If both slots match, then there's almost no reason to have your theory wrong, but I say "almost" because you also need to check the supported processors of the working motherboard, as some might not be able to run if are out of the specifications.
