When buying a laptop, how do you know the casing is strong?
I need a laptop that will last till the day I graduate college. Right now, I'm a senior in high school. So I don't want to buy a laptop that will break down when I accidentally drop it. I have weak arms so whenever I hold more than one book, I usually drop them on my way home.=( How can I tell that a laptop is made of cheap casing when I observe it in the store?
A laptop will never be completely drop proof unless you go with a military version of a laptop, which I don't recommend because they're heavy and impractical for every day use, and even they aren't indestructible. If you want to spend a couple hundred dollars you can get a solid state hard drive so at least the hard drive won't be screwed up if you drop it high enough to shatter the computer. But really just save the couple hundred dollars and buy a $60 case.
