Does anyone know what software programs I can install in an apple clamshell laptop?
Its an apple clamshell g3 and i cannot put word perfect into it, I just need a good word program, so I can do some school projects on it. It is old and they don't make them anymore, but I am sure there has to be some sort of program I can put on it.

The Apple Clamshell G3 will run Microsoft Office. Depending on what version of the Mac OS you have on the clamshell, you can install the appropriate MS Office. Typically the Mac IBook Power PC G3 Clamshell comes able to install the standard Microsoft Office for Mac, which has Word, Entorage, Excel, PowerPoint. Often times, this version of Microsoft Office comes with it when you purchase it from the Apple dealer.
You can always get MS Word for Mac (like at Amazon.com or something http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-D48-00487-Word-2004-Mac/dp/system-requirements/B0001WN1FS/ref=noref/002-4019041-4577621?ie=UTF8&n=229534&s=software&qid=1190914240&sr=8-8 ), but you will have to make sure your iBook clamshell has at least 256Meg ram, which depends on what configuration you bought with it (you can upgrade an ibook of that sort to over 300 meg, fyi).
