How much does it cost to fix a macbook?
No power to the USB ports. The ports will still transfer data, but they will not power USB powered devices.
2. No battery charging. The laptop will run off the battery or run off the charger, but the charger will not charge the battery.
3. Intermittent Airport failure. The airport card will sometimes fail to start. When it fails, it does not show up in the menu bar. When it does show up in the menu bar, it works.
The laptop has some other problems not related to the logic board:
1. Bad battery. The battery will not charge.
2. No hard drive.
3. Cosmetic case cracks.
It has a 2.0 GHz Core Duo processor, 1 GB of RAM, and a combo CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive.
The screen, touchpad and keyboard are good.
Also it is one of the newer ones with the keyboard like the toshiba mini nb205
If its the regular macbook, you may just want to buy another one. Things to think about price to repair cost to time until something else breaks. Laptops are not made to last more then 5 years. Even with a fix who knows how long it will be until something else craps out. Power issues are not worth fixing usually. They are either a couple cheap wire replacements, or a motherboard replacement, or a computer fix it all. If its a couple wires do it. Should be around 60-80. If its not just replace it. A motherboard fix is expensive.
