Is it bad to use a laptop on my lap without a cooling pad?
I just bought my very first laptop (an HP) about a week or two ago. It has an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, which the guy at a store told me runs cooler than an AMD processor. I like to sit on the couch with the laptop in my lap. It gets pretty warm but not hot. Is it bad to put the laptop on my lap without a cooling pad? Like, is anything bad gonna happen to the laptop? I don't feel it gets hot enough where its gonna burn my legs.
If you are going to use it on your lap, get a tray or something to put under it, It is cooler on your legs and will not block the vents on the bottom of the machine. A cooling pad will do that but it's a bit noisy.
