The new iMac 21.5-27 inch accessories?
Ok, so i'm very interested in the new iMac's accessories, (cordless keyboard and magic mouse). i really like the computer too, but i definitely don't have enough money for that, and i have a laptop anyway so there's no point. So, i kind of want to try my laptop (the original white macbook) as a desk computer, because i've never had one, so i want the keyboard and mouse. SO, my two questions are...
1) Can the Cordless Keyboard and Magic Mouse be purchased separately?
2) Can they work with my Macbook?
THANK YOUUU!!!!!
I'm fairly new with Macs (9 months and running strong), but what is the model number of your Macbook?
On the Finder (the bar stretching across the top of the OS X desktop), look for a small icon that looks like a bow-tie turned sideways. Is it grayed out? If so, right-click on it(or Option-CLICK) to see the context menu and see if there is an option to turn Bluetooth on.
Or go into System Preferences and look for the Bluetooth icon (blue oval with that bowtie figure).
The cordless devices, as I recall, are bluetooth.
If your Macbook lacks wireless, then you're out of luck. Without knowing the proper model number, I can only guess or try to walk you though the system preference options.
Both ARE available separately; go to http://store.apple.com and check out their store -- a quick search for "magic mouse" will take you to it. You'll likely see a link to their wireless keyboard as well. They do sell both separately.
I never cared for the keyboard (not ergonomic), but the mouse is tempting...
