I have a laptop with 2 slots, 1x 256mb PC2100 DDR SDRAM SODIMMs.?
If i replace that with 2x 512mb PC2700, will it run at that speed, or will it still run at the PC2100 speed?
Its going to depend on what settings you use in the bios. Odds are that it will run at that speed, but I doubt you'll see a big performance gain. You'll see more speed due to moving from 256MBs of ram to 1GB.
