my computer wont charge...?
i have a dell latitude d520 and it worked fine until last night. it was dying so i plugged it in and now the battery wont recharge, there is a light flashing in orange shaped like a battery, and it only runs on ac power. any suggestions?
There are many potential culprits for your problem, and you would have to test your equipment for each possibility:
AC Adapter has died (unlikely, as you are running off of AC Power)
Faulty Battery
Loose or Faulty DC Jack. This is a very common problem with laptops. If your DC Jack is loose or wiggles very much, it could be disconnected or shorting - which would cause problems like the one you are experiencing.
Check the simple things first though, re-seat your battery and make sure the contacts are clean and clear of debris.
