Is it bad to feel this way about your kid?
I have a ten month old and for the past several days he has just been driving me nuts! It's everything; he wants to play with his food, not eat it, he keeps squirming when I change his poopy diaper and starts to crawl away with no diaper on, he's getting into his diaper caddy and pulling everything in it onto the floor....I understand that he's growing up and is exploring everything, but geez, I'd like to go to the bathroom without him following me in and crawling up my leg.
I have to cover for someone at my in law's pizza shop tomorrow, and my husband will be staying home with the baby. I'm so freaking excited to get out of the house and have my husband deal with our kid, but then I feel bad about it.
Is this normal?
No, you just need a break. Every mom feels that way to some degree during motherhood and if they say they don't they're lying. Take a break, regroup and get on with being a mom.
