Can someone point out the difference between INTEL Dual Core Processor and INTEL Core 2 Duo Processor.
Which one is better.
1)Which one will perform better,
INTEL DUAL CORE Processor 2.4Ghz or
INTEL CORE 2 DUO Processor 2.4Ghz?
2)Last thing is it that if i have a dual core processor 2Ghz, then it means that it is a doubled (2x2), so it is actually 4Ghz Processor.

well as for the difference i'm not totally sure but i assume it has to do with the technology it uses as they advanced it they change the name. both are still 2 CPUs that are fused together and use the north bridge to communicate and no that doesn't make it a 4Ghz its 2.4Ghz with 2 CPUs that work together.the whole point of the multi cores is multi tasking so if your not multi tasking then its better to have fewer cores that have higher clock speeds
