Core 2 Duo runs less hot than other dual core processors in a laptop?
My googling suggests that Core 2 Duo processors generate less heat than earlier dual core models like CoreDuo, Pentium Dual Core and Celeron Dual Core. But what I want to know now as I contemplate a laptop purchase, is, are they MUCH cooler or just a little cooler? Is the difference significant to the lifespan of the laptop? They are significantly more expensive.
Also how about the AMD dual core processors? How do they compare in the heat department?
amds run pretty hot im told but i have a amd triple at one house and a core 2 duo at the other and currently my core 2 duo is running 122F not that hot, only like a really hot hot tub
