HP dv2000: no blue lights (not even near adaptor plug), wont start up??!!?
Hey guys. I have a hp dv2000 laptop. It was working fine until yesterday. I had left it on overnight, AC power (slept off while using it). Next day, i used it on battery power. After some time the battery finished and when i tried charging it by plugging in adaptor, it didnt turn on. There was no blue light near AC plugin or near the keyboard, in fact no lights at all. I tried removing battery and using it on AC power. Even that didnt work. Plz suggest a solution so that i can get my laptop back from the dead.
It seems pretty clear that the charger is dead. Since you tried with just the charger and its not working, it makes it clear to me. Just purchase a new one and you'll be good to go. I had a similar issue and a new charger fixed it right up.
I would also like to suggest purchasing from http://www.topmic.com/ like I did in the past. They provide shipping and lifetime warranties for free, as well as a 30 day refund period. They aren't the cheapest online store but their service makes up for the few extra bucks.
