Adding another hard drive to the HP Pavilion DV7t?
My HP Pavilion DV7t comes with a 320GB 5400rpm hard drive. I know this laptop is capable of holding and operating on 2 hard drives simultaneously. I currently have another 120GB 5400rpm hard drive from my old laptop and want to install this into the DV7t. Please give me step-by-step details on how to perform this, and I don't care about voiding the warranty 'cause HP support really sucks! Thanks!
Ground yourself from static.
Open the cover. Push it in. (you'll figure out how it's connected by looking at it)
Replace the cover.
Turn computer on.
Computer Manager -> Disk Management
Partition and format the drive if necessary. These will erase all data on that drive so be careful.
