CD / DVD Drive Dell 1720 Laptop wont burn?
I have a Dell Inspiron 1720
The burning software Reads the DVD fine but will not Write it?
Every time it says "BAD MEDIA ERROR"
I have used 3 diff. types of discs and
2 diff. types of software....clone dvd...imgburn???
Is this my drive?
I read about a firmware update...but know one can seem to find it
for my drive. MATSHITA DVDRWBD UJ-110 / FUJITSU MHY2120BH ATA
I had clone DVD before and it all worked fine???
The discs I have been using are DVD +R should I be using RW?
The drive plays and reads dvds fine 100% bout does not write. It takes DVD + - RW DL BD.
I tried to go into the Device Manager in Windows and Uninstall the disk drive and reboot
and that did not work.
Have been trying to get this to work for weeks....please help!!!

if youve been uanble to unistall and re install the drivers or update the drivers if available you real have no other options then buying a new drive. a drive is easily replaced and you could find a new one for cheap on ebay.
you can also try calling tech suppoort foor the brand of your laptop if its still under warranty. if its not under warranty theyll ask you to pay them money to help you.
