MacBook is asking for Game DVD-ROM even though its in the DVD Drive?
I recently got Age Of Empires III, so I installed it and its latest patch and everything was good. But, when I go to open it, the following appears:
Age Of Empires III game DVD-ROM was not found.
Make sure the original game DVD is in your Mac's DVD-ROM drive and try again.
The funny thing is, the game DVD-ROM is in my Mac's drive. What's wrong?
I. Place a different DVD into your drive and see whether it works.
If not, your drive is broken. If it works, go to II
II. Place the AOE DVD into the drive and mount it using Disk Utility. Load AOEIII again. If it still doesn't work, go to III
III. Where did you get the DVD from? If it's from an internet auction site or if it was pre-owned, assume the disk is pirated. If not, go to IV
IV. Contact MacSoft or go to http://www.destineerstudios.com/support/aoe3.html to download the newest updates.
