Extended Warranty?
If i buy a used car from a private seller can i get an extended warranty from the dealer?
Buying a warranty directly from a car owner, rather than a dealer, can be tricky when involving a warranty.
You have three options.
1.) Dont buy a warranty and risk the repair costs yourself.
2.) Buy a warranty over the Internet from a reputable broker. I would suggest Warranties 4 Wheels (www.warranties4wheels.com). They will find you the best rate on warranties from top underwriters.
3.) Buy a warranty from your dealer. Dealers will charge you more, though, however they may qualify you for the factory backed program. Factory programs arent necessarily better, as they are underwritten by many of the same places that underwrite the Internet agents warranties.
