Is it detrimental if my laptop cooling pad is directly under the fan under my laptop?
I am asking this question because the fans on my cooling pad draw air in, and the fan under my laptop draws air in as well. Therefore, should the laptop cooling pad not be under the laptop fan which is located under the laptop?
Not sure exactly what you have but here is a general picture. The computer fan stirs air and helps to cool the inside of the unit. The cooling pad does not draw air from the outside but pulls the warm air from around the bottom of the laptop and forces it out the sides of the cooling pad. In short, the computer fan pulls air from the outside and cooling pad is picking up the hot air from the computer and pushing it out. There should be no problem having the fans close to each other.
