how do i know in a 100% clear way if yes or no my gateway p-series laptop computer is detecting its 4gb of ram?
i recently installed 2 more gb of ram on my computer, before it only had 2 gb. of ram but i hardly notice very little difference in its perfermance could it be bacause my computer is not detecting the 2 new gb of ram that i had put into my computer?
Well, the thing is that more RAM doesn't necessarily mean more performance. The only time you'd notice a difference is when using programs that use a lot of RAM.
Also, your laptop probably uses a 32-bit OS, which can't effectively use 4GBs of RAM. You're probably only using about 3 or 3.5GBs of RAM out of the 4GBs.
