Is this lapatop good IBM R40?

I am thinking of trading something for a ibm r4o this is what they told me it is. The laptop is an IBM R40 with 25 gig hard drive, and a 2 gigahertz Intel Celeron processor and 256 meg of RAM. It will come with a port replicator and CDRW/DVD ROM. Of course it will have a mouse, and if you would like we can provide a separate USB keyboard and monitor. Software is Windows XP operating system installed updated XP with service pack I want it to surf the net a little and email a maybe a couple of games and that is it , when someone is on our main computer let me know if this is a good one.

As long as the games aren't 3D or graphic intensive, it'll be fine for what you want to do. You may want to boost the RAM to 512mb to help it along when surfing the internet or playing games though. My wife has an R40 with 512mb and it handles most tasks. She even has Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 on it which runs fairly well (until the park gets huge).
