Why are big companies like Dell, IBM, Google, Apple, etc. running "work from home" scams?
They trick people into paying them money for a "work at home" opportunity.
I could see how small-town people would do this.........
but big companies like Dell, IBM Google and Apple are supposed to be Legitimate.
Why would they damage their own reputation by doing this?
Do they actually get enough people to fall for these to make up for the potential damage it does to their reputation?
I'm not bad-mouthing Google & Apple; they've done a lot of good things for society.
but they shouldn't be scamming people like this.
I was curious about this as well. Believe it or not, it's not actually these companies doing this. I clicked one of their ads once and got to the point where I had to "pay for shipping" then read the fine print. It's a monthly subscription.
Basically their name is only on the front end. From my understanding, the way they are able to use these "trusted" names is because the software you buy, or the "business model" used relies on these search engines. It's SEO (search engine optimization) scams. Basically use their ideas and advertise for other people on Google, Yahoo, etc. and get paid everytime your ad is clicked.
