Can you use a computers Hard disc drive on a playstation 3?
my ps3 ran out of memory on its hard disc drive and I was wondering if I bought a 2TB internal Hard disc Drive for a computer or laptop would it work the same? please help me out on this one I really need more memory.
PS3 accepts only a
2.5" LAPTOP SATA HARD DRIVE RUNNING AT 5400RPM (MAX SIZE 250GB-500GB).
If it doesnt meet the above it will cause compatability issues and damage your PS3. So it has to be 2.5" laptop, not a normal computers drive, has to spin no higher than 5400rpm, any higher could fry ps3, lower is too slow, and ps3 wont recognise anything higher than 500gb so it would be a waste to buy a 2tb drive.
