How can I maximize the space in my small room but sill have what I want?
My door and closet are on the same wall, and my window is across from them not allowing me to do a whole lot. I've gotten rid of my dresser and moved everything into my closet and now all I have is a bed and a desk on opposing walls bother perpendicular to window wall (window is dead center). I want my desk to face towards the door so I can see who's coming and have what little privacy I can get. Thing is the back of the desk isn't "finished" Is there a way I can make or put together a cute new desk? It doesn't have to be big or anything but enough to hold at least 1 book, my laptop, and an area for me to write. I was thinking of putting two metal things on my walls, putting a nice size piece of wood on it...Kinda like a drop down ironing board but it would also have an adjustable height...I don't even know if that exist. lol
Ideas!!! I need more of them lol. I'd like to keep the budget at $0. $25 at max
On the back of your desk, put some cork board. It is functional and when you add pictures you like and some little tidbits from everyday life, ticket stubs, pretty tags from clothes etc...it is attractive as well. cork tiles can easily be cut to fit any size and all you need are some furniture tacks to attach to the desk. all supplied can be found at walmart or similar stores and will run you less than 10 bucks. Now when the back of the desk is facing the door, it's easy on the eyes.
