I am going on airplane!!!! Need help security!?
I am 15 and I don't want to u know get those big suitcases and look for them at the end of the flight. So for carry on, is it ok for me to bring my laptop and a bag with clothes in it. Like one small bag of clothes and the box for my laptop?
Also when i go through the security thing, do I take everything out of the laptop box including the charger? And what if i have a belt in one of my bags how do i deal with that??? Also, i wear a sweater with the zipper thing does that count for going through the security thing?
Easy things first.
All airlines allow you to take at least one piece of hand luggage onto the plane, some allow two. The best way to find out is to go onto the airline's website and read their baggage rules for hand baggage. That will tell you the number, sizes and weights they will allow you to take.
You may be asked to take off your sweater and have it scanned with your hand luggage and laptop. You may have to take off your belt and shoes too. It depends on the airport. make sure you have no keys or cash or other metal in your trouser (pants) pockets, take off your wrist watch too.
Almost all airports require you to take your laptop out of the bag, place it in a tray and have it scanned the same way as your hand luggage. You can leave your leads in the bag.
Harder.
if you are taking only hand luggage you will have to be careful about any liquids and gels you wish to take. the 3-1-1 rule will apply.
You can only take liquids or gels in containers holding no more than 3.4oz (100ml) and these must be placed in a resealable, transparent plastic bag holding no more than a quart (20cm x 20cm). Each passenger is allowed only one such bag. (Hence 3-1-1)
This bag must be taken out of your hand luggage and scanned separately. See the following link to the official government website for this information;
