Would this be a good drive for my laptop?
I'm currently looking into updating my laptop's hard drive a Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop Computer (Intel Core 2 Duo T5800, 320GB HDD, 3GB) with a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 750GB Hard Drive - 7200, 16MB, Serial ATA-300, OEM hard drive. Would they be compatible together? I do know that they are both Serial ATA hard drives but I want to know if I should buy the Seagate or look into other hard drives.
The Barracuda is not designed for laptops. You should look in to the Momentus series. Currently, the very highest capacity available is 500gb but that is certain to be very expensive.
I think it's best to wait a few months or early next year for prices to go down.
