Do these External USB Virtual 5.1 Sound Card Audio Adapters subsitute for lack of a sound card in a laptop?
If a laptop hasn't got a sound card, would one of the External USB Virtual 5.1 Sound Card Audio Adapters that are USB 2.0 compatible and are sold on Ebay do the same thing?

They are the same an in internal (But stick out the side) All the ones on that list are real good (and are capable of 5.1 surround sound)
