connecting laptop to tv?
I have a compaq presario CQ50-139wm laptop, and I was wanting to hook it up My tv so I could watch videos on My tv. I was wondering if someone could tell Me if this adapter would work for My setup? My laptop does have a vga port, and My tv has 3 rca ports. It says check to make sure your video card supports this, and I'm not sure and don't know where to look.

yes my tv only has the yellow, white, and red hook-ups. I have no other hook-ups at all on my tv. So which one do I need to get video and sound from pc to tv?
I was looking at the side of my tv and there is actually an s-video plug in too. Its like the round slot with 7 holes in it. Will that give me sound on the tv? Does the vga give sound at all?
Well, that cable above is only going to work if you have component video inputs on your tv (usually labelled YPbPr) rather than the regular composite (yellow ) paired with stereo audio (red and white).
