Acer laptop not charging--have tried different chargers and batteries?
I've had my laptop for about a year and half and recently it won't charge.
I bought a new battery a few months ago and a new charger. It used to charge sometimes when I'd stick the charger in and kind of mess with the charger connector thing. Now it won't charge at all and I'm really frustrated! PLEASE HELP!
This problem is due to a bad DC Jack... Sometimes the jack can be re-soldered onto the system board but other times the board has to be swapped... If you have the technical know how open up the laptop and take a look, or if you have a tech savy friend.. Otherwise take it to be looked at... If the board has to be swapped and you can do it yourself (or have a friend) then go on eBay and purchase the board... If it does have to be swapped and you do not feel comfortable doing it than buying a new laptop would be more economical because if you have a pro do it between parts and labor you are looking at paying like $350-$500
