Can using a 2 y/o battery in my Dell laptop damage it?
Sooo, Dell Support recently informed me that laptop batteries are only meant to be used for one year. After one year, they will begin to damage your motherboard and other computer parts. Dell said it was very bad and would slow down my computer because of this! He seemed greatly shocked that I had not been informed of this crucial info...
I know my battery can only lose its charge & be charged so many times before it's efficiency decreases, but does running my laptop with this battery actually damage my computer?
he's talkin rubbish, the battery will only work for as long as it will work for
it won't damage anything unless it gets too hot and leaks which is very very unlikely
the guy didn't know what he was talking about!
