How should I treat my laptop battery to keep it working a long time?
I just got a new laptop and I heard that one should remove the battery when the computer is plugged in to keep the battery from dying quickly. In my old laptop I left the battery in all the time, I don't think I ever removed it.
Should I remove the battery when I have the computer plugged in? Should I just keep the battery in the computer all the time? Is there a difference?
You should keep the battery in and the laptop plugged in to a power outlet whenever possible. Switching from charging to not charging is what wears your battery out the fastest!
