when i am using my DELL laptop battery, my laptop makes this annoying buzzing noise, how do i get rid of it?
I have a DELL Vostro1500, when i using my battery my laptop makes an annoying buzzing noise. But when i use my AC adapter it is normal. What is that noise and how do i get rid of it? Thanks alot
Your DC converter circuit inside the Laptop has parts that switch from one voltage to another to supply power to the different parts of the laptop. Generally there is a part called an inductor (or coil) in part of the circuit. That can resonant causing an audible buzzing. Second place is the LCD circuit which has to switch up to high voltage to drive the backlight which is a mini fluorescent tube. May be a preview of failure, may not. My laptop (macbookpro) buzzes slightly with AC adapter plugged in for the last two years. Known design flaw.
If the buzzing is from the LCD screen (or very close to the LCD) its a known issue that dell calls normal.
