how do i fix my broken laptop power cord?
i had my toshiba laptop on the bed and it fell off, jolting the power cord. all the wiring is intact, but the end broke off. the black inner piece, came out of its metal shell, and the metal shell came out of the rubber holder at the end of the cord. they can fit back together, but i cant push it deep enough to reconnect the metal at the end of the black piece to the metal in the rubber holder. and so if i try to put it back to the computer, it doesnt work, and it gets stuck, and when i pull it out, it falls apart again. it seems fixable and i really dont want to have to get a new one. can someone help me?
Well, you CAN try black electrical tape (when it's not plugged in but I believe you knew that already!) and just see if it does hold in the wiring but if that doesn't work of course the only thing you can do is buy another cord.
