My wife has many health issues, including depression, but who supports me?
My wife has many health issues. Agoraphobia, endometriosis, depression, etc. She gets no help from the Doctor for her depression or other mental issues. She spends most of her time in bed or playing word games on her laptop. I try to support my wife and our son, but I am beginning to feel incredibly depressed too. Years of being in a sexless marriage have made me feel unloved, unwanted and angry towards my wife. Yet I still love her.
Who do I turn to for help?
I talk to my wife but it does not help. She cannot change anything and I just feel I am kicking someone when they are down.
This is not fair to you and you have a right to be down over the whole situation. You have got to do two things: find her a different doctor, this one isn't working and find a counselor for you. You have got to have someone to talk to about just you. This is a terrible environment for a child to be raised in and grotesquely unfair to him.The best thing may be a separation, so that she cam work on herself and you two could have a normal life. You cannot let this go on. I understand se is suffering, but you two do not have to be mired down with it.
