Is there a booster from my laptop to my projector to enhance the picture?
Is there a such a thing as a booster from my laptop to my screen projector? I'm using VGA cables. I think I have enough lumens on my projector but the picture is not as clear as it is on my laptop when I try to project. Does distance matter from the laptop to the projector? I have tried to manipulate the settings and it is still not sharp.
Maybe you can manually focus the projector, by rotating the lens assembly, gently, until you get sharper focus.
A booster is not likely required, unless you are using a VGA cable longer than 15 feet.
More likely, your laptop is set to a higher resolution than the projector can display.
Check the native resolution of your projector in it's manual, probably 800x600 or 1024x768. If it is really new, it will display HiDef (HDTV) which is 1280x1024.
Then, before making a presentation, set your laptop to the same resolution by following these steps:
- Right-click your desktop (but not on an icon or program)
- Select "Properties"
- Change to the Settings tab of the Display Properties window
- Slide the "Screen resolution" setting (lower left corner) to the proper setting.
