What is the minimum graphics card requirement for playing modern PC games on a laptop?
I am buying a laptop for a gift and want to get one that can be used for playing games. Dont have hundreds of pounds for a dedicated gaming laptop though
laptops are alot more expensive for good gaming capabilities.
the graphics are mainly on board, most can run yesterdays games, but with the new lot of games that are directx 10 compatible, they gonna cost a lot of money.
try www.pcspecialist.co.uk, they let you customise desktops and laptops within certain price ranges. it may help to play around to get a good idea of what to look for if your buying one off the shelf.
also it will allow you to look up the components used on the web so find more info on em.
whilst laptops are handy for travel etc.. they suck for gaming unless you pay over £1000 for em. best bet is to buy a desktop, you can pick some really good ones for about £500 of ebay with all the latest cpu's, memory and graphics card from the nvidia 8500 + range.
