Why are you trying to connect the PS3 to a laptop? Are you trying to use the laptop as a monitor?
I assume that is why you are asking this question. I will give you a hint - all of the ports on the laptop are OUT ports, not IN ports, which means the laptop can NOT be used as a monitor, unless you modify the laptop. And by the time you are done spending all of the money to modify the laptop, you could have bought a monitor instead.
If you really want to hook your PS3 to your laptop (not sure why, it isn't going to do anything), you need to use an HDMI to VGA cable. I would give you a link, but since what you are trying to do is not possible, I will not bother trying to find the cable for you.
Save your money and buy a monitor, or use a TV.
