Is there a way to make dell upgrade my laptop?
its a bit old now but I'm pretty upset that I bought the studio xps 16 with the p8600 thinking it will last long and then a month later they offer the i7 720 for the cheaper xps 16s
You can ask politely to get it upgraded... Otherwise no, you can't force them. Though the laptop you got doesn't suck, it's still a nice laptop. In this day in age it is fairly impossible to upgrade every customer's laptop that is outdated, because technology is progressing so quickly. I suggest enjoying your current laptop, and saving yourself the trouble of speaking with Dell's customer service.
