Dell Vostro 1510
Dell has come out with a new version of Vostro line of computers focuses on small enterprise. This model is a totally new built than the previous Dell's heavy and thick laptops, thus creating an intrepid version of Vostro series which is light and thin designed. Dell Vostro 1510 comes with a 15.4" screen notebook created especially for ventures that require a desk top replacement in their budget. Let us know more about the Dell Vostro 1510.
The 1510 is available in Intel processors ranging from 1.86GHz Celeron M M540 to T9500 2.6GHz Core 2Duo. You are provided with four 15.4" screens, a WXGA or a WXGA + display with anti-glare matte coating and WXGA or WXGA glossy display. The 1510 can take up to a RAM of 4GB and provides a 32-bit version of Windows XP professional or Microsoft Windows Vista Business.
The Dell Vostro 1510 is now a sleek model with high performance and lighter and thinner than the previous Vostro 1500. Plastics are used in the chassis and get a thin feeling around those areas and a slight degree of flex can be experienced above the keyboard and palm rest. As far as color options are concerned we get only the black model. You will now find a black glossy finish and a slight indication of metal flake. The color finish that of the paint and the metal flakes are set into the surface along with the molds and therefore do not pose any risk to the finish. The Vostro line provides new innovations in the "Hyperband Multi-Antenna" built-in the LCD lid which has claimed by Dell to receive excellent reception and decrease in the dropped signals for the Bluetooth and the Wi-Fi.
The screen of the Dell Vostro 1510 gives a high resolution WXGA + displays in glossy and matte configuration. The keys on the keyboard are nicely spaced and have good texture with great cushion. Even the touch pad consists of the matte texture. You will find a number of touch-sensitive media buttons that are blue LED back lights and are situated over the keyboard like the buttons on the XPS notebooks, also the blue LEDs lit only for 1/10th of a second and therefore do not distract you while working.
Overall the Dell Vostro 1510 is a solid performer with reasonable battery life and nice screen and media buttons which are easy, no bloat ware and is available with Windows XP.
