How do I DJ with a laptop?
I would like to know everything I need to DJ with a laptop, and how to do it. I have some DJing experience, but not much. I am starting to host some high school dances, etc. Anyway, besides speakers, stands, etc, I don't want to spend any more than about $400 on equipment. So, for everything from mixers to software to cables, no more than $400 because I'm saving my money for nice speakers. I don't yet have a laptop for it but I need one anyway for everyday use so I figured it could double as a music player for the DJing. By the way, what kind of soundcard should I have? Any other recommendations, advice, and "how-to's" would be appreciated.
